St. Pantaleon, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of 
Braunau, alt. 372 m, pop. 3,108, area 18.31 km%%sup 2/%. 
Automotive, heating and mechanical engineering; thermal power plants 
Riedersbach I (built in 1969, 50 MW) and II (built in 1987, 
165 MW), Trimmelkam lignite mine (where "Salzach coal" 
is mined), closed since December 1993 (1985: yearly output 
700,000 t). - Parish church with Gothic core (first documented 
mention in 1150), Baroque additions in 1676 and 1688, stucco work by 
M. Vierthaler (1732), high altar (1773), side and gallery altars 
(17%%sup th/%  century).
