Citizenship, its acquisition (by descent, award for merit, employment 
as a university professor, declaration and notification of intention) 
and its loss (acquisition of a foreign citizenship, entry into the 
military service of a foreign country, deprivation and renunciation) 
are governed by the Citizenship Act of 1985 (with amendments). 
Certification of citizenship falls within the jurisdiction of the 
municipalities; dual citizenship is possible under certain 
circumstances.
