Stadl-Paura, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Wels-Land, 
alt. 360 m, pop.4,838, area 15.05 km%%sup 2/%, industrial 
and trading town situated at the confluence of the rivers Ager and 
Traun, close to Lambach. - Federal Institution for Agricultural 
Biology (formerly Federal Institution for Horse Breeding), ammunition 
centre of the Federal Armed Forces, Nazareth convent of the Sisters of 
Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo, Volksheim centre; spinning mill, 
production of heating gases, insulation materials, parquets, 
chemical-technical industry, sportswear factory, building industry. - 
Baroque pilgrimage church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity (the number 
three is a dominant motif, triangular floor plan, three towers, three 
altars, three marble portals etc.), building in perfect Baroque shape, 
built by J. M. Prunner from 1714-1724; high altar piece by M. 
Altomonte and D. Parodi, third altar piece and cupola fresco by C. 
Carlone; three organs by J. I. Egedacher; presbytery (1726) by 
J. M. Prunner (formerly orphans´ home) with shipping museum 
(documenting navigation on the River Traun).
