Stadthalle, Wiener, 15%%sup th/%  district of Vienna, built as a venue 
for mass events by R.  Rainer 1953/55-1958. The main hall (100 x 
100 m) can be laid out in many ways depending on the purpose 
(sports events, congresses, concerts etc.) and provides room for 
3,000-16,000 people. In addition there are halls for ball games (60 x 
30 m), ice sports and gymnastics. The swimming bath annexe was 
also built according to plans by R. Rainer 1972-1974.
