Stamprech, Franz, b. Vienna, May 30, 1906, 
d.  Eisenstadt (Burgenland), May 4, 1983, journalist and writer. 
Started as feature writer for the "Kleines Volksblatt" newspaper, then 
editor (domestic affairs), then Deputy Chief Editor. From 1955 Chief 
Editor of the newspaper "Wiener Zeitung". Member of the board of 
directors of the Concordia Press Club and Chairman of the Association 
of Austrian Parliamentary Editors. Author of biographies, novels, 
non-fiction and children´s books.
