Ab 1984 im A-Kader des Österreichischen Skiverbands, insgesamt 10 Weltcupsiege. Silbermedaille im Slalom bei der Weltmeisterschaft in Saalbach 1991; Goldmedaille im Slalom bei den Olympischen Spielen 1994 in Lillehammer, 1999 Gewinner des Slalomweltcups. 2000 Rücktritt vom aktiven Sport.
