Staribacher, Josef, b. Vienna, March 25, 1921, lithographer and 
offset printer, diploma in national economics, politician (Austrian 
Social Democratic Party, SPOe), father of Andreas  Staribacher. 
Imprisonment for political reasons in 1936, 1939-1940 Buchenwald 
concentration camp (Germany); active in the Austrian Trade Union 
Association and the Chamber of Labour, 1961-1983 member of the 
Nationalrat, 1970-1983 Federal Minister of Trade, Commerce and 
Industry.

Died  4/1/2014
