b. Gallspach (Upper Austria), 1806, d. Andorf (Upper Austria), 
Jan. 7, 1877, physician. As first spa physician at Bad Hall (Upper 
Austria) tried to advocate the extension of the water sources from 
1847; this resulted in the establishment of the iodine baths 
eventually realized in 1855.
