industry, building and construction industry, fruit and vegetable 
processing (tins); mineral thermal sulfur spring. - Catholic (old) 
parish church (17%%sup th/%  century and 1756) with Baroque interior; 
new parish church (1974) built in the form of a "stairway to 
heaven"; former fortress (17%%sup th/%  century, countryside 
museum for southern Burgenland since 1969).
