Sterzinger, Martin, b. Imst (Tyrol), March 4, 1664, d. Lana 
near Meran/Merano (South Tyrol), May 17, 1721, provincial judge, 
leader of the rebellious peasants in Tirol; on July 1, 1703, defeated 
the Bavarians in the encounter at the  Pontlatz Bridge.
