Divine Word Missionaries (Societas Verbi Divini, SVD), missionary 
order with general council in Rome, founded by P. Arnold Janssen in 
Steyl (NL). The Austrian province has its headquarters at the  
Missionshaus St. Gabriel near Moedling. The Missionshaus St. Rupert in 
Bischofshofen (province of Salzburg, founded in 1904) also runs a 
Gymnasium secondary school. Further communities can be found at 
Dornbirn, Wels and Lassnitzhoehe.
