Steyr Nutzfahrzeuge AG, SNF, company with a long tradition in the 
vehicle industry, headquarters in Steyr (Upper Austria) producing 
lorries with a laden weight of 16 to 18 tons; created in 1989 after 
sale of the majority of shares in the lorry production sector of  
Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG to the Austrian section of MAN-Nutzfahrzeuge 
group, which also owns  Oesterreichische Automobilfabrik OeAF-Graef & 
Stift AG. Turnover in 1998/99 ATS 7,1 billion, 2,441 
employees.
