Stocker, Gerfried, b. Moeschitzgraben (municipality of St. Peter 
ob Judenburg, Styria), Jan. 26, 1964, media artist, manager. 
Completed training in audio engineering and telecommunications; since 
1984 media artist and composer of music for films and theatre 
productions. Has collaborated with other artists, e.g. W.  Schwab; 
founded the interdisciplinary project group "x-space" in 
1990; media installations worldwide (Los Angeles, Rotterdam, 
steirischer herbst). Since 1995 artistic director of  Ars Electronica.
