Weinbaugemeinde am Nord-Abhang des Leithagebirges. 

Ortsgründung im späten 16. Jh., hochbarocke Pfarrkirche (Weihe 1610, 1683 zerstört, 1743 Neubau, ehemalige Marienwallfahrtsstätte) mit steinernem Gnadenbild (1645), prächtiger Tabernakel, Kloster (1760), Pestkapelle (1713), Auffindungskapelle mit Madonna (18. Jh.), Immaculata- und Donatisäule. Höhle „Teufelsloch“.
