Strada, Jacopo de, b. Mantova (Italy), 1507, 
d. Vienna, 1588, architect, painter, antiquary, numismatist, writer. 
From 1557 art expert ("antiquarius") and master builder to 
Ferdinand I, Maximilian II and Rudolf II in Vienna; 
today his portrait (by Titian, around 1567/68) is on show in the 
Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
