Strem Valley, Burgenland: the River Strem, which drains the valley,
rises west of Oberwart (alt. 315 m) and has an average flow rate
of 1.7 m%%sup 3/%/sec. at Heiligenbrunn. The Strem valley runs through
the southern part of Burgenland in a south-easterly direction;

around Guessing (alt. 229 m). Cones of former volcanoes can be
found in the area around Guessing. Close to the Hungarian border,
where the River Strem joins the River Pinka, lie the villages of
Strem (alt. 207 m) and Heiligenbrunn (alt. 223 m).
