alt. 358 m, pop. 2,031, area 37.10 km%%sup 2/%, located in 
the Strengberg Hills, in the north-west of the Austrian Pre-Alps. - 
Wood-working industry, trade. - Late-Gothic hall church (15%%sup th/%  
century), 1778-1781 Baroque alterations, high altar (1781) with 
sculptures by A. Gruber, numerous gravestones (16%%sup th/%  - 
18%%sup th/%  centuries); postal service building with stuccoes (1689, 
alterations from the 2%%sup nd/%  half of the 18%%sup th/%  century).
