b. Vienna, April 4, 1930, composer, violinist. Studied at the Vienna 
Conservatory and concentrated mainly on jazz. From 1957 commissions 
for ballet, film and television music; concertmaster at Theater an der 
Wien. Since the mid-1970s has concentrated on Pannonian folk music and 
compositions in the style of this traditional music.
