Stronach, Frank (real name: Franz Strohsack), b. Kleinsemmering 
in the municipality of Gutenberg an der Raabklamm (Styria), Sept. 6, 
1932, industrial entrepreneur; apprenticeship as toolmaker, 1954 moved 
to Canada, where he established the Magna International Inc. ( Magna 
Holding AG), one of the biggest enterprises in the car supply industry 
of N America. His managerial philosophy is based on broad employee 
participation in shares and profits. Since 1986 professional 
activities in Europe (Magna Europa, central office at Oberwaltersdorf, 
Lower Austria). Also interested horse breeding and sports as well as 
leisure industry projects (e.g. the leisure centre at Ebreichsdorf, 
Lower Austria). Since 1999 president of the national Austrian football 
league.
