Strudel (Strudl), Paul, b. Cles (Italy), around 1648, 
d. Vienna, Nov. 20, 1708, sculptor; brother of Peter  Strudel. 1684 
came to Vienna, influenced by the rich and grandiose style of 
G. L. Bernini in his works.

statues of the Habsburgs in the dome hall of the Austrian 
National Library and in Laxenburg Palace, around 1700 (with Peter S.); 
altar pieces in the Vienna Kapuzinerkirche, 1712; plague monument 
"Pestsaeule" in the city of Vienna (emperor, Faith, plague, angels and 
Trinity).
