d. Vienna, July 4, 1970, economic geographer. 1949-1955 employee, 
later director of the publishing house Freytag-Berndt; 1955 university 
professor at the Department of Geography, from 1958 head of the 
Institute of Area Planning of the Vienna College for World Trade. 
Research fields: area planning, local planning, economic geography.
