Stumpf, Franz, b. Zablati, Czech Republic (then Sablad), March 30, 1876, 
d. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Feb. 28, 1935, teacher trainer, politician 
(Christian-Socialist). 1907-1918 in the Reichsrat, 1918-1919 member of 
the Provisional National Assembly, 1931-1934 member of the Bundesrat, 
1921-1935 Landeshauptmann of Tirol; was a close friend of F.  Funder, 
supported W.  Pabst, who was chief of staff of the "Tiroler Heimwehr" 
(para-military force).
