!!!Suburbanisierung

Suburbanisation, the growth of cities beyond city limits. Communities
in the environs of cities become suburbs as their population and
built-up area increases rapidly within a matter of years.
Suburbanisation is due to the migration of people and businesses away
from the central part of the city. In Austria, the new settlements are
for the most part composed of single-family detached houses.
Suburbanisation is a trend in all of the bigger provincial capitals in
Austria, and in particular in Vienna. Infrastructural development,
Commuting and improved cooperation between the central cities and
their surrounding communities are crucial issues for Regional
Planning.
