b. Penig (Germany), Dec. 2, 1640, 
d. Dresden (Germany), 1689/90, engineer, topographer. 1671-1677 member 
of the Vienna guards "Wiener Stadtguardia". Worked as an engineer in 
Vienna until 1686 and designed a map (1675) and a model (1676-1680) of 
the city, neither of which has, however, been preserved; later he 
produced views of Vienna as well as a plan of the Turkish positions at 
the time of the siege; 1686 captain of the Saxon field artillery.
