Suttner Society, Vienna, since 1964 new name of the 
"Oesterreichische Friedensgesellschaft", founded in 1890 by 
B. von  Suttner ( Peace Movement). The society aims at preventing 
war, carries out research into its causes, promotes and propagates 
pacifist thinking and supports all efforts to establish international 
legislation as the basis for the peaceful settlement of all 
international disputes.
