d. Vienna, April 14, 1846, physician, law scholar. As 
vice-director of the Medical-Surgical Studies and as adviser to the 
Imperial Study Commission he greatly influenced the organisation of 
the  Vienna School of Medicine. 1817 and 1829 Rector of the University 
of Vienna.
