Tadten, Burgenland, municipality in the district of Neusiedl am See, 
alt. 122 m, pop. 1461, area 36.11 km%%sup 2/%, in the 
Seewinkel region near the border to Hungary. - Trade, mixed 
agriculture. - Archaeological finds: burial ground from the 
11%%sup th/%  century (some bodies buried on horseback), about 2000 
silver coins (from around 1230); Roman kist (Provincial Museum of 
Eisenstadt); classicist Catholic parish church (1804).
