tourist resort (421,052 overnight stays) at the foot of the Tannheim 
Mountains. - Tannheim Valley local heritage museum. Monumental Baroque 
parish church (first documented mention in 1377, reconstructed from 
1722-1724) with scagliola high altar and painting (1730) by P. 
Zeiller, 4 historical bells (late 16%%sup th/%  century), Mariahilf 
chapel (around 1680) and other Baroque chapels; preserved historical 
townscape in the nearby village of Berg; Vilsalpsee lake nearby.
