d. Graz (Styria), April 18, 1962, public finance expert and 
politician, member of the Fatherland Front (Vaterlaendische Front). 
University professor, 1936-1938 Federal Minister of Trade and 
Transport. From 1948 head of the Marshall Plan Department (European 
Recovery Programme), was among the first supporters of European 
integration.
