d. Vienna, Aug. 14, 1993, writer and translator. The poet A. J.  
Koenig introduced him to literary circles in Vienna. 1952-1979 worked 
for the Austrian book club for younger readers  Buchklub der Jugend; 
administered the literary estates of A. J. Koenig, H. Lahr and M. 
 Haushofer and edited their works.
