Terfens, Tirol, municipality in the district of Schwaz, alt. 
591 m, pop. 1781, area 15.21 km%%sup 2/%, situated on the 
northern slope of the Lower Inn Valley. - Construction industry, 
crushed-stone works, wood processing. Gothic parish church (first 
documented mention 1337, enlarged around 1510-1515) with Gothic 
frescoes (around 1470), frescoes and altarpiece (1768) by C. A. 
Mayr; Maria Larch pilgrimage chapel (1698/1699, enlarged 1723) with 
frescoes; Baroque well house.
