Tertiary Orders, members of a  Third Order (First Order: fully 
professed men, Second Order: fully professed women) of mainly  
Franciscans or  Dominicans, divided into secular and monastic 
Tertiaries. The first are lay members of Tertiary Orders and live in 
the world, whereas the latter are fully professed members of Tertiary 
Orders Regular and live in a religious community. Regular Tertiaries 
in Austria are the male Order of Regular Tertiaries of St. Francis 
(TOR); they have been based in Vienna since 1936 and concentrate on 
charity and social work.
