b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), June 16, 1939, architect. Studied at the Vienna
Academy of Fine Arts under R. Rainer, worked for W. Holzbauer; since
1973 independent architect in Vienna; extended the Austrian
architectural manifestation of "classical modernism". Lecturer at
various American and European universities.

Salzburg, from 1978; housing estate Biberhaufenweg, 22nd district of
Vienna, 1981-1985 (with O. Haeuselmayer and C. Pruscha); headquarters
of the fire brigade, Perchtoldsdorf, 1981-1983; office building
Schoemer, Klosterneuburg, 1985-1987; day centre for children
Wienerberggruende, Vienna, 1990; Stadttheater/Stadtkino (theatre and
cinema) and museum, Hallein, 1994; Taschenberg Residenz, Dresden,
1995; museum housing the Essl collection, Klosterneuburg, 1998-1999;
Donaucity church, Vienna 1999-2000.
