Teyber, Anton, b. Vienna, Sept. 8, 1754, d. Vienna,
Nov. 18, 1822, court composer, pianist, organist and cellist; son
of Matthaeus Teyber; brother of Elisabeth Teyber, Franz Teyber and
Therese Teyber. 1784 admitted to the musical artists´ society
"Tonkuenstler-Societaet"; 1787-1991 lived and worked in
Dresden; from 1792 harpsichordist at the Vienna Court Opera and from
1793 court composer and music teacher of the Imperial children (e.g.
Archduke Rudolf).
