Thuerheim, Count Christoph Wilhelm, b. Linz (Upper Austria), 
Jan. 3, 1731, d. Linz, July 29, 1809, Landeshauptmann 
of Upper Austria from 1763. Was entrusted with the administration of 
the Innviertel region in 1779. First President of the Upper Austrian 
provincial government 1783-1986; resigned his post following 
differences with Emperor Joseph II. His second wife, Maria Anna 
(nee Countess Kuenigl, 1743-1798) was very knowledgeable in the fields 
of literature and botany.
