!!!Thaliatheater

Thaliatheater, theatre built in 1856 as a wooden construction on 
today´s Thaliastrasse street in the 16%%sup th/%  district of 
Vienna, demolished in 1870, directed by Johann  Hoffmann; at first, 
the theatre produced a mixed programme, after 1857 it also staged 
operas; premiere in Vienna of R. Wagner´s 
"Tannhaeuser" on September 30, 1857.
