!!!Theater Brett

Theater Brett, Viennese theatre company, established in 1977 by the 
Czech couple Nika Brettschneider and Ludvík Kavín. At 
first the group gave performances on various stages; since 1984 
Theater Brett has had its own theatre in the sixth district of Vienna. 
Theater Brett focuses on non-verbal theatre using gestures, facial 
expressions, and body language. The company performs works by both 
Czech and Austrian authors. Since the end of the Communist 
dictatorships in Eastern Europe, it has concentrated more on the 
artistic and cultural development of the post-Communist countries, 
also presenting guest performances and festivals from this region.
