Thurnher, Armin, b. Bregenz (Vorarlberg), Feb. 21, 1949, 
journalist. Studied theatre and German studies; co-founder of the 
Viennese weekly magazine "Falter" in 1977 and since then its 
editor-in-chief; head of the Falter Verlag publishing company. 
Resolutely opposed to media concentration in Austria. Awarded the Kurt 
Vorhofer Prize in 2001.
