d. Salzburg, Jan. 25, 1865. Meteorologist, alpinist, theologian, 
professor in Salzburg. Numerous scientific publications on first 
ascents in the Alps. The T.-peak at the Untere Trafoiferner glacier 
(South Tyrol) is named after him.
