Tichtel, Johannes, b. Grein (Upper Austria), around 1450, 
d. Vienna, 1503. Physician and humanist. From 1482 to 1500 
university professor in Vienna, member of the  Sodalitas litteraria 
Danubiana. His diary (1477-1495) gives insight into life in Vienna 
during his time.
