b. Vienna, March 28, 1926, actress. Pupil of R.  Aslan; early 
debut at the Burgtheater, where she played until 1947 (dissolved her 
contract as companion of E.  Buschbeck); after that she acted at the 
Volkstheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt, 1960 to 1987 again at 
the Burgtheater (1986 Ehrenring); 1981 to 1996 organiser of the Vienna 
Opera Ball; acted in films (Eva Braun in G. W.  Pabst's film 
about Hitler "Der letzte Akt", 1955) and on television (including 
fairy-tale productions).
