Tončić-Sorinj, Lujo, b. Vienna, April 12, 1915, 
diplomat and politician (Austrian People's Party, OeVP), 1945 leader 
of the political division of the Austrian Institute of Economics and 
Politics in Salzburg, member of the Austrian UNESCO Commission and of 
the Austrian delegation to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of 
Europe, 1949 to 1966 member of the Nationalrat, 1966 to 1968 Federal 
Minister of Foreign Affairs, from 1969 to 1974 Secretary General of 
the  Council of Europe.
