b. Neusach (municipality of Weissensee, Carinthia), July 5, 1899, 
d. Purkersdorf (Lower Austria), Sept. 4, 1980, Dean of the protestant 
diocese (Augsburg Confession) of Vienna (1947-1972). Active in 
protestant youth work, relief programmes after the war, press and 
radio work and in promoting inter-denominational relations.
