Trauttmansdorff(-Weinsberg), noble family from Lower Austria (Stuechse
von T.); they were knights in the 14th century, became imperial counts
in 1623 and imperial princes in 1805. Their second name (Weinsberg)
comes from the Weinsberg territory in Wuerttemberg (Germany), which
the family owned for a short period during the Thirty Years' War.
Prominent members of the family included Prince Ferdinand
Trauttmansdorff-(Weinsberg), Count Josef Trauttmansdorff-(Weinsberg)
and Count Maximilian Trauttmansdorff(-Weinsberg).
