Treichl, Heinrich, b. Vienna, July 31, 1913, manager, father of 
Andreas  Treichl. After graduation from law school became foreign 
exchange dealer in the central office of the Paris Banque des Pays de 
l´Europe (1936), 1937 started working for the Merkur Bank in 
Vienna. 1956 (after ten years in publishing) at the Austrian 
Industrial and Mining Administration; from 1958 at the  
Creditanstalt-Bankverein AG, 1962 board member, 1970-1981 Director 
General; from 1974-1999 president of the Austrian Red Cross.
