Treu, Wolfgang, 
d. around 1540, mayor of Vienna. In 1522 member of the delegation of 
the City of Vienna that asked Archduke Ferdinand (who later became 
Emperor  Ferdinand I )for forgiveness for the Estates' opposition to 
him. According to municipal documents he was Mayor of Vienna in 1526, 
1528-1530 (during the first of the  Turkish Sieges of Vienna in 1529), 
1532/1533 and 1536/1537 and Municipal Councillor of the Lower Austrian 
Estates in 1534-1538.
