!!!Turracher Höhe

Turracher Hoehe Pass, 1,783 m, pass in the  Gurktal Alps forming 
the border between Styria and Carinthia; the road from Predlitz 
(Styria) to Ebene Reichenau (Carinthia) connects the upper Mur Valley 
with the upper Gurk Valley. The lakes Turrachersee, Schwarzsee and 
Gruensee are all in the Turracher Hoehe Pass region.  Skiing resort, 
former anthracite mines; iron mines dating from the Middle Ages and a 
blast furnace, once the most modern in Europe, have been closed down; 
highest location of a toboggan run in Austria.
