Noricum Ripense, province between the Danube and the main crest of the 
Alps, created at the time of the division of  Noricum by Emperor 
Diocletian (284-305 A.D.); its capital was  Ovilava or  
Lauriacum; Noricum mediterraneum was the adjacent province in the 
south.
