d. Munich (Germany), May 21, 2001, opera singer (tenor). Debut in 1950 
in Graz; 1954-1956 in Oberhausen, from 1957 in Munich; performed in 
the Salzburg and Bayreuth Festivals as well as at the Vienna State 
Opera. Mainly performed roles by R. Wagner, R.  Strauss, A.  Berg and 
G. von  Einem. Guest appearances e.g. in Paris, Brussels, London and 
Stockholm.
