!!!Uhl, Ottokar

b. Wolfsberg (Carinthia), March 2, 1931, architect. Studied at the 
Academy of Fine Arts under L.  Welzenbacher. Since 1959 free-lance 
architect in Vienna. Applied ideas of the Second Vatican Council to 
ecclesiastic buildings such as the "Montage" Church at Kundratstrasse 
in Vienna (1963-1967) and the renovation of the Students´ Chapel 
in Vienna's 1st district, Ebendorferstrasse (1982, originally built 
1957/58). From the end of the 1970s developed models for tenant 
participation in administering housing estates (residential building 
Fesstgasse, Vienna 16th district, 1977-1981). 1973 to 1994 
university professor in Karlsruhe. Austrian state prize for 
architecture in 1963.
